MIG/TIG Welder

We have a full time position open for a MIG and TIG experienced welder working in mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel. We’re looking for a solid team player capable of working off own initiative and in return we offer:

Your responsibilities

  • Interpret technical CAD drawings
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications
  • Inspect and test components produced to ensure they meet quality requirements
  • Carry out basic maintenance on tools and equipment and reporting faults
  • Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities required of the individual at the time, which is deemed reasonable and for which appropriate training, development and support has been given so that the individual can perform the tasks safely and effectively.
  • Contribute towards ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements are always met by every individual and all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to. Any issues, problems, accidents and “near misses” are reported immediately and in accordance with company policies and procedures

 

Skills and qualifications

  • Proven experience as a welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc)
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Knowledge of sheet metal assembly techniques
  • Ability to use bench top tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

 

Hours of work

37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8am – 4.30pm
Friday: 8am – 3.30pm

Assembly Technician

We have a full time position open for an Assembly Technician. We’re looking for a solid team player capable of working off own initiative and in return we offer:

  • Pay rate starts at £10-£12 per hour (dependent upon experience and accuracy)
  • Overtime available
  • 20 days holiday + bank holiday (building to 25 after qualifying period)

 

Your responsibilities

  • Complete extensive on-the-job training
  • Assemble and connect parts
  • Build complete sub-assemblies, involving hydraulics, and electrical wiring
  • Quality Control and final assembly packaging
  • Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions
  • Collaborating with other factory-based technicians
  • Liaise with Design Engineering
  • Learn how to assemble products in line with both UK and US Standards and Codes
  • Assist with new R & D projects

 

Skills and qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment Is preferred but not required, full training will be provided
  • Must be comfortable being on your feet all-day
  • Must be comfortable lifting large assemblies (within HSE guidelines)
  • Must have a willingness to learn, a positive attitude and an interest to start/continue a career in an engineering production environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

 

Hours of work

39 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm (with overtime)

Packing Operatives

We have a full time position open for a Packing Operative. We’re looking for a solid team player capable of working off own initiative and in return we offer:

  • 20 days holiday + bank holiday (building to 25 after qualifying period)

 

Your responsibilities

  • Follow company packing procedures and standards
  • Handle inventory with care and attention to detail
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures, and encourage other associates to do the same
  • Ensure product orders are packed and moved carefully
  • Inspect, weigh, and package products
  • Monitor flow of product into processing machinery
  • Verify compliance with quality, safety, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipment
  • Report potential production downtime, scrap production, and quality of each machine and summarise data from the shift
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

 

Skills and qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment Is preferred but not required, full training will be provided
